DOLLY ROCKER IS:
Sara Rose Corrigan (singer/song writer/guitar)
Kevin Franke (guitar)
Cara Tramontano (violin)

Founded circa 1998 in San Francisco, Dolly Rocker has evolved as a collaboration of musicians, the constant being Sara Rose Corrigan, singer and songwriter. Sara's first musical partner, David Lex, shared an ear for simple melodies and spare instrumentation. Because of their mutual admiration of Syd Barrett's solo work, Sara chose the name of a favorite Barrett song, "Dolly Rocker," for the project. With two albums to its credit, Dolly Rocker presently includes the musical contributions of Kevin Franke (since 2002) and Cara Tramontano (since 2004).

Sara, Kevin, and Cara are the musicians performing on Dolly Rocker's second release, Funny Lullabies. As a guitarist (and bass player for Dolly Rocker as of late), Kevin has played with a number of other bands, most notably the Santa Cruz-based Candy Apples. A songwriter in his own right, Kevin is currently at work on a solo recording project. As a violinist, Cara has played with a number of orchestras as well as popular music groups in San Franciso, Portland, OR, Tucson and Flagstaff, AZ. Cara has recently redesigned the Dolly Rocker website, previously designed by Jim Gaylord, Dolly Rocker's original violinist.

Generally responsible for the poster art during his time with Dolly Rocker, (circa 2000-2004, see flier selections), Jim played violin, the lead instrument on Dolly Rocker's first album, Hello, Dolly Rocker! He also created album's cover art, based on one of his original oil paintings. Before moving to New York to pursue his career as an artist, Jim also performed and recorded with Vetiver, another San Francisco-based band.

Also heard on Dolly Rocker's debut album, Sean Chikki played bass for Dolly Rocker circa 2000-2002. Sean played guiter for The Andy Peters Show during the same period, and wrote and performed his own material with Go Go Galaxion (which, as it happened, included Dolly Rocker's third drummer, John Lakian).
